Couch to 5k 2013 - W5D1


Couch to 5k Week 5 Day 1
Warm Up - 5 Minutes
Run 5 Minutes, Walk 2 Minutes, Run 4 Minutes, Walk 2 Minutes, Run 5 Minutes, Walk 2 Minutes, Run 4 Minutes - 24 Minutes
Cool Down - 5 Minutes

Looked lovely out, so out I went (despite having a sore ankle...)

Warm Up - 5 Minutes (.34)
Run 5 Min., Walk 2 Min., Run 4 Min., Walk 2 Min. @ 4.3 mph, Run 5 Min. @ 7.2 mph, Walk 2 Min.@ 4.3 mph, Run 4 Min. @ 7.2 mph (2.51)
Cool Down - 5 Minutes - 2 Min. @ 4.3 mph, 1 Min. @ 4.2 mph, 1 Min. @ 4.1 mph, 1 Min. @ 4 mph (.35)

After the first run portion, my ankle and knee both started to act up, so I turned and continued back toward my house.  I was back after the second run portion, so I hoped inside on the treadmill for the rest of my workout.  My knee and ankle were sore the entire time, so I'm glad I came back to finish (and didn't end up a mile away from home with no way to get back!).  Got it done and that is what matters :)

We've been doing lots of work in the yard lately, including pulling out three giant dead juniper bushes last night.  It is taking a bit of a toll on my body.  OLD LADY, ALERT!!!  Now, out for some more yard work torture!
