I weighed myself this morning.  I was curious to see where I was, as I have started to add in my workouts again, but my eating hasn't been great.  I also went to the doctor on Tuesday and was a little shocked of my weight (with clothes...).  Oh, yeah...did I mention that my wonderful husband and I are starting another weight loss challenge very soon?  We figured it would jump start both of us and add in some motivation.  Another weight loss challenge, you say?  We did a Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred Challenge in June 2011 and based the winning off of percent of weight lost.  We did another in November/December of that year and then January/February of 2012.

ANYWAY, back to my weight today...

144.6 lbs. :)

I just checked my weigh-ins page and found two things to be true:

  1. I tied (again) for my lowest weight in my adult life!  I weighed-in at 144.6 pounds on June 15th and July 13th of 2012!!!
  2. On March 7th, 2012, I weighed 144.8 pounds.  What does that mean?  I've maintained weight loss, people!!!
What did I weigh at the doctor on Tuesday, March 12, 2013?  Well, my above #1 wasn't 100% true.  I HIT A NEW LOW WEIGHT ON TUESDAY!!!  AT THE DOCTOR WITH MY CLOTHES ON!!!

144.2 pounds!!!

I was shocked.  I'm trying to use it as motivation in the sense of "you can totally drop some more pounds if you work a bit".  We will see how it goes.

Everyone have a great day!

XOXO

Thankful - Not Having Knee Tears

I'm going to try to blog every single day this month.  In an effort to do so, I'm going to share something I am thankful for each day...at least until Thanksgiving.

11.1.12

I'm thankful that the doctor told me my knee issues are probably not MCL/ACL/PCL tears and probably not a torn meniscus!!!  I'm thankful that it is probably just "patellofemoral syndrome with generalized core muscle weakness".  Some PT and I should be good to go!

I also wanted to share one of the coolest things that has been said to me in a while.  The nurse got done taking my pulse, looks at me and says, "You're a runner, aren't you?"  I stopped for a minute, looked at her and said, "I pretend to be...why?"  She said based on pulse, she can tell the people who have better cardiovascular health/endurance than those who don't do anything.  I just kind of smiled and said thanks.

Gave me warm heart.

Have a great night!

XOXO

Small Victories

Quite an uneventful day, but I said I was going to post my food, so here it is:

Getting a little more balanced...

I came in under my daily allowance and refused to eat a monster cookie (small victory!)...even though it looked REALLY GOOD!

Kali and I had a discussion about how we need to celebrate the small victories because those are the ones that we notice and that truly matter.

Example...

Putting on my black knee-high boots last week and finding that they are too big in the leg area now.  Felt like I should be stuffing some newspaper in there to make them not look odd!

Or getting to buy a shirt a size smaller than I used to because I now swim in the shirts that used to be so tight!

HEY, YOU!

Smile and celebrate the small victories...health or otherwise!

Also, a bit of random for you before I head to bed...

Best. Mugshot. Ever.

Have a great night :)
